Railways Increased Compensation : रेलवे बोर्ड ने ट्रेन दुर्घटनाओं में किसी की मृत्यु होने या घायल होने पर मिलने वाली अनुग्रह राशि 10 गुना बढ़ा दी है। ट्रेन और मानवयुक्त समपार दुर्घटनाओं में मृत यात्रियों के परिजन को अब 5 लाख रुपए मिलेंगे, जबकि गंभीर रूप से घायल लोगों को 2.5 लाख रुपए दिए जाएंगे। वहीं साधारण चोट वाले यात्रियों को 50000 रुपए मिलेंगे।
 
अनुग्रह राहत को आखिरी बार 2012 और 2013 में संशोधित किया गया था। रेलवे के 18 सितंबर के एक परिपत्र से इसकी जानकारी मिली है। इसके अनुसार, ट्रेन दुर्घटनाओं और अप्रिय घटनाओं में जान गंवाने वाले और घायल यात्रियों के आश्रितों को दी जाने वाली अनुग्रह राहत राशि को संशोधित करने का निर्णय लिया गया है।
 
इसमें कहा गया है कि सड़क उपयोगकर्ताओं के लिए अनुग्रह राहत भी बढ़ा दी गई है, जो मानवयुक्त समपार फाटक पर रेलवे की प्रथम दृष्टया जवाबदेही के कारण दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हुए हैं और यह 18 सितंबर से यानी परिपत्र जारी होने की तारीख से लागू होगा।
 
परिपत्र के मुताबिक, ट्रेन और मानवयुक्त समपार दुर्घटनाओं में मृत यात्रियों के परिजन को अब 5 लाख रुपए मिलेंगे, जबकि गंभीर रूप से घायल लोगों को 2.5 लाख रुपए दिए जाएंगे। वहीं साधारण चोट वाले यात्रियों को 50000 रुपए मिलेंगे। पहले ये रकम क्रमश: 50000 रुपए, 25000 रुपए और 5000 रुपए थी।
 
इसमें कहा गया है कि किसी अप्रिय घटना में मृत व्यक्ति के आश्रितों, गंभीर रूप से घायल और साधारण रूप से घायल यात्रियों को क्रमशः 1.5 लाख रुपए, 50000 रुपए और 5000 रुपए मिलेंगे। पूर्ववर्ती अनुग्रह योजना में यह राशि क्रमशः 50000 रुपए, 25000 रुपए और 5,000 रुपए थी। अप्रिय घटनाओं में आतंकवादी हमला, हिंसक हमला और ट्रेन में डकैती जैसे अपराध शामिल हैं।
 
ट्रेन दुर्घटनाओं के मामले में गंभीर रूप से घायल यात्रियों को 30 दिनों से अधिक समय तक अस्पताल में भर्ती रखने पर अतिरिक्त अनुग्रह राहत की घोषणा करते हुए परिपत्र में कहा गया है, हर 10 दिन की अवधि के अंत या छुट्टी की तारीख, जो भी पहले हो, 3000 रुपए प्रति दिन जारी किए जाएंगे।
 
रेलवे अधिनियम 1989 में ट्रेन दुर्घटनाओं और अप्रिय घटनाओं में यात्रियों की मृत्यु या चोट के लिए मुआवजा दायित्व निर्धारित किया गया है।
