Session on Handling Cyber Security Incident: मेडी-कैप्स यूनिवर्सिटी, इंदौर के डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ कंप्यूटर साइंस में 'हैंडलिंग साइबर सिक्योरिटी इंसिडेंट' पर एक विशेष सत्र का आयोजन किया गया। सत्र को प्रो. गौरव रावल राष्ट्रीय स्तर के साइबर अपराध विशेषज्ञ ने संबोधित किया। 
 
प्रो. रावल ने  कहा कि हम साइबर अपराध की घटनाओं को सुनते हैं, पढ़ते हैं फिर उसे अनदेखा कर देते हैं। यही व्यवहार हमें साइबर क्राइम का शिकार बना देता है। ऑनलाइन शॉपिंग, जॉब, पेमेंट, डेटा शेयरिंग, चैटिंग, मेल भेजना, बैंकिंग वर्क, ऑनलाइन स्टडीज जैसे अनेक काम इंटरनेट के माध्यम से करते हैं। लेकिन, ऑनलाइन सुरक्षा और गोपनीयता के बारे मे जानकारी नहीं रखते। इस कारण अपराधी हमें अपना शिकार बना लेते हैं।
 
रावल ने कहा कि हम अपनी व्यक्तिगत जानकारी सोशल मीडिया पर किसी से भी शेयर ना करें। अनजान एप्लीकेशन डाउनलोड न करें। अनजान लिंक पर क्लिक न करें। अनजान फ्रेंड रिक्वेस्ट या वीडियो कॉल स्वीकार न करें। बैंक से बोल रहे हैं या इनकम टैक्स से बोल रहे हैं, आपकी जानकारी अपडेट करना है जैसे फोन कॉल ब्लॉक कर दें। गलती से की गई गलती आपको गंभीर संकट डाल सकती है।
 
उन्होंने केंद्रीय आपातकालीन प्रतिक्रिया दल (CERT) की भूमिका और जिम्मेदारियों के बारे में भी बताया। राष्ट्रीय महत्वपूर्ण सूचना अवसंरचना संरक्षण केंद्र (NCIIPC) और मानकीकरण परीक्षण और गुणवत्ता प्रमाणन (STQC) के कार्यों का वर्णन किया।
