कोलकाता। पश्चिम बंगाल के लिए वर्ष 2020 राजनीतिक अशांति, महामारी और प्राकृतिक आपदा का वर्ष रहा। राज्य में हालांकि कोरोनावायरस (Coronavirus) और भीषण चक्रवात के मुकाबले राजनीतिक हलचल व तृणमूल कांग्रेस तथा भाजपा कार्यकर्ताओं के बीच संघर्ष की खबरें अधिक सुर्खियों में रहीं।

राज्य में आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव के मद्देनजर भाजपा ने जहां पूरी ताकत झोंक दी है, वहीं सत्तारूढ़ तृणमूल कांग्रेस भी उसे रोकने के लिए वार-प्रतिवार करती नजर आई। राजनीतिक हिंसा ने राज्य को राष्ट्रीय सुर्खियों में ला खड़ा किया।

भाजपा ने दावा किया कि 2019 के लोकसभा चुनाव के बाद से राजनीतिक हिंसा में उसके 130 से अधिक कार्यकर्ता मारे गए या रहस्यमय परिस्थितियों में मृत पाए गए। तृणमूल कांग्रेस और भाजपा नीत केंद्र सरकार सालभर एक-दूसरे से टकराती रहीं। राज्य में राजनीतिक हिंसा इस स्तर तक जा पहुंची कि दिसंबर के शुरू में भाजपा अध्यक्ष जेपी नड्डा के काफिले पर तब हमला हुआ जब वह पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं की एक बैठक को संबोधित करने दक्षिण 24 परगना के डायमंड हार्बर जा रहे थे।

केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय ने नड्डा की सुरक्षा में ढिलाई को लेकर राज्य में पदस्थ तीन आईपीएस अधिकारियों को केंद्रीय प्रतिनियुक्ति पर आने को कहा, जिस पर मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी केंद्र से भिड़ गईं। नड्डा के काफिले पर हुए हमले में कई भाजपा नेता घायल हो गए।

केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री एवं भाजपा के दिग्गज नेता अमित शाह ने राज्य में कानून व्यवस्था की बिगड़ती स्थिति को लेकर राज्य सरकार पर हमला बोला और भाजपा ने आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव के मद्देनजर अपने केंद्रीय नेताओं को पश्चिम बंगाल में उतार दिया।

शाह ने राज्य की 294 विधानसभा सीटों में से 200 से ज्यादा सीट जीतने के महत्वाकांक्षी लक्ष्य की घोषणा की। इस पर तृणमूल कांग्रेस के सलाहकार एवं चुनाव रणनीतिकार प्रशांत किशोर ने कहा कि भाजपा को दहाई अंक में सीट हासिल करने के लिए भी संघर्ष करना पड़ेगा। भाजपा के आक्रामक ‘हिन्दुत्व’ अभियान के जवाब में बनर्जी और तृणमूल कांग्रेस ने ‘बंगाली गौरव’ अभियान की घोषणा की।

भगवा दल ने राज्य के लोगों को अपनी तरफ आकर्षित करने के लिए नोबेल पुरस्कार विजेता रबींद्रनाथ टैगोर, स्वामी विवेकानंद और ईश्वरचंद्र विद्यासागर जैसी बंगाली हस्तियों के नाम का बढ़-चढ़कर इस्तेमाल शुरू कर दिया।

पहली बार 2011 में सत्ता में आई तृणमूल कांग्रेस को इस साल बगावत का सामना करना पड़ा और सुवेंदु अधिकारी जैसे दिग्गज नेता सहित इसके कई विधायक और सांसद भाजपा में शामिल हो गए। इस पर तृणमूल कांग्रेस ने कहा कि अब पार्टी द्रोहियों से मुक्त हो गई है। तृणमूल कांग्रेस से पराजय का दंश झेल चुके वाम दल और कांग्रेस भी सत्तारूढ़ पार्टी के खिलाफ एकजुट खड़े नजर आए।

राज्य में वर्ष 2020 की शुरुआत संशोधित नागरिकता कानून विरोधी प्रदर्शनों के साथ हुई और 2021 के विधानसभा चुनाव में इस मुद्दे के प्रमुखता से उठने की उम्मीद है। भाजपा को आशंका है कि विपक्षी दलों के विरोध की वजह से संशोधित नागरिकता कानून को लागू करने में विलंब के चलते शरणार्थियों के वोट, खासकर मटुआ समुदाय के वोट इसके खिलाफ जा सकते हैं।

इस बीच, उत्तर बंगाल में भाजपा को तब झटका लगा जब फरार गोरखा नेता बिमल गुरुंग के नेतृत्व वाले जीजेएम के गुट ने भाजपा नीत राजग को छोड़कर तृणमूल कांग्रेस से हाथ मिला लिया। 2019 में भगवा दल को इस क्षेत्र की आठ में से सात लोकसभा सीटों पर जीत मिली थी।

तीन साल से छिपे हुए गुरुंग दार्जीलिंग लौट आए और उत्तर बंगाल में तृणमूल कांग्रेस की जीत सुनिश्चित कर भाजपा को सबक सिखाने की घोषणा की। इस क्षेत्र में उनका कम से कम 20 विधानसभा सीटों पर प्रभाव है। बंगाल ने इस साल कोविड-19 का प्रकोप भी झेला और देश में सामने आए संक्रमण के कुल मामलों में से 19 प्रतिशत तथा देश में इस बीमारी की वजह से हुईं मौतों के मामलों में से 15 प्रतिशत मामले इस राज्य से रहे।

महामारी की स्थिति के आकलन के लिए केंद्रीय टीमों के दौरे पर राज्य और केंद्र के बीच वाकयुद्ध छिड़ गया।बंगाल को भी राष्ट्रव्यापी लॉकडाउन की वजह से प्रवासी मजदूरों के लौटने की समस्या का भी सामना करना पड़ा।राजभवन और राज्य सरकार के बीच पूरे साल तकरार चलती रही तथा सत्तारूढ़ तृणमूल कांग्रेस ने राज्यपाल पर समानांतर सरकार चलाने का आरोप लगाया।

सितंबर के महीने में राज्य के मुर्शिदाबाद जिले से खूंखार आतंकी संगठन अलकायदा के कई संदिग्धों के पकड़े जाने से सुरक्षा संबंधी चिंता भी बढ़ी। राज्य में इस साल आए चक्रवात ‘अंफान’ की वजह से लगभग 100 लोगों की मौत हो गई, सैकड़ों लोग बेघर हो गए और बुनियादी ढांचे को भारी नुकसान पहुंचा। राज्य में विधानसभा चुनाव में अब छह महीने से भी कम समय बचा है और ममता बनर्जी ने लोगों तक पहुंच बनाने के लिए ‘दुआरे सरकार’ अभियान शुरू किया है।(भाषा)
